If you are planning a trip abroad, we can help care for you and your family’s health with our Travel Immunisation & Health Advice Service. You also need to make sure that your vaccinations for the UK are up to date, such as polio and tetanus. If they are not, you can arrange booster jabs.
You can get advice about vaccinations at least 8 weeks before travelling. Further information on how to stay safe and healthy abroad, please visit www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk

.
What do you need to prepare for your appointment?
To ensure your travel health advice is personalised to your trip, you will need to come prepared with:
information about your trip (e.g., destination, duration and planned activities, if known)
details of any medical conditions and/or medication you are currently taking
history of previous vaccinations (if known)
If is also a good idea to wear a loose-fitting top so that you can comfortably roll up your sleeve for any immunisations needed. If a child is likely to be immunised, it is important to approach the procedure in a calm way, as young children can be nervous about immunisations, and to leave plenty of time before the appointment.
